Scooter Mileage

July 13, 2008

With scooters, mileage rates are even higher. With smaller scooter engines, they naturally use less gas. It’s quite possible to get well over 80 miles per gallon.

The things to consider are safety and also insurance costs. For the most part, if you have a relatively short commute in an area with moderate to low traffic then a scooter is a great option.

Compared to motorcycle mileage, the mileage on scooters are still much higher. Considering it won’t be as fast or as quick off the line. But then again, we’re talking about saving on gas expenses and not necessarily speed and style.

So the first thing to consider is the insurance costs. Get a quote from many of the free quote sources and do some comparisons before spending the cash for a scooter.

If you already know what the insurance costs might be, then check this page for scooters on sale from ebay.
