Impounded Cars For Sale
November 1, 2008
Did you know you can buy police impounded cars for cheap?
I bought mines a few months ago. I got a 2000 BMW 540 for $3897.47! It’s sweet and the carwas in fantastic condition. The owner was probably a business person of some sort who probably travelled alot. I’m figuring this is the case because the beemer only had 25,000 miles on it. Either that or the police kept the car for several years until they wanted to get rid of it.

My boyefriend is totally jealous, but I won’t let him drive it coz he smashed up my old car.
Anyhow, a friend of mine told me about police impounded cars that are for sale. He hooked me up with his account and searched for cars that were in the impound lot at a nearby police station. I couldn’t believe how easy it was and how many cars was actually available.
I really wanted a newer beemer but I couldn’t afford the insurance and they costed about $2,000 more. They also had a Benz that I was interested in but had too much mileage. So I got the BMW!
Oh! the guy must have also been a music freak. The stereo system is the “da BOMB!!!” It probably cost more than what I bought the car for.
Even though the gas is expensive, I carpool to work and so now I am the designated driver. Everyone just loves it coz of the great music and the style. The first time my boss saw it, he thought I had won the lottery or somethin coz everyone was talkin about it.
I gave my friend who hooked me up, $100 dollars. He wouldn’t accept it though and said a dinner for him and his girlfriend would be good enough. Since the program he bought costed less than 50 bucks, he wouldn’t feel right. So it costed me $77 dollars at the restaurant. Now my boyfriend is looking to by a Hummer and siad if he get’s one, I can’t drive it! I said “so what” coz my car will kick his butt anyday.

Car Insurance - Time To Check Around
April 26, 2008
Another great way to save money is with car insurance.
It pays to shop around and look for the lowest rates. You can accomplish this online by simply perusing the car insurance sites. 99% of them will offer free quotes.
By keeping a spreadsheet, you will be able to visually see which insurance company offers the lowest rates. It’s especially a good time to check if you’ve always had the same insurance company. Even calling your rep to see if you can get a lower rate may be just enough to pay less.
If the company senses that you may be leaving them for lower rates, a smart insurance agent will do what they can to keep your business. Especially if you have a good record with them. No tickets, accidents and always making your payments means you are a solid customer. And rightfully so, you should be rewarded with lower rates.
Another point you should make is if you started taking advantage of mass transit. Basically, the less you drive, the lower your insurance premiums should be. As an example, on my insurance policy, I told the agent I drive about 12,000 miles a year for work and pleasure. Now that I don’t frive as much, I told my agent and my insurance dropped by $253.49.
So do yourself a favor and start with your current company. But I would definitely get some quotes beforehand so you know what to expect. If you current insurance company won’t budge, then by mentioning the premiums from other companies will send the message that you are serious about saving money.

Cash Back Credit Cards For Gas
April 24, 2008
A great way to recoup some money is by using a credit card that offers cash back. Some will even specifically be for receiving cash back on your gas purchases.
Of course you can always use the gas stations gas card for the same affect. But there are limitations on where you can use them and I personally enjoy using a card that I can use beside at the gas pump.
Not to mention, it’s one less bill I get in the mail
I know Discover Card has an offer for cash back gas savings. It’s definitely something to look into.
